MELBOURNE, Fla. - The contingent of the Embry-Riddle women's cross country team ran at the Panther Invitational, hosted by Florida Tech, on Thursday night as the Eagles finished in second as
Sarah Edens took the individual crown in the race.

The Eagles sent just six runners to the mid-week meet, but the Blue and Gold still managed a second-place finish with 33 total points, just two behind Florida Tech who won the meet. Flagler scored 58 points to finish third while Rollins did not have enough runners to score into the team standings.

Edens' 18:44.93 was more than 30 seconds faster than the second-place finisher and was her second-best time of the 2017 season.
Nicole Kvitkauskas finished fourth overall in 19:40.61, while
Magdelina Allen placed sixth in 20:01.33.
Josie Gray (21:25.01) and
Ukeyvia Beckwith (21:36.07) finished 10th and 12th, respectively, and
Brianna Paczynski placed 15th in 22:46.41.

The Eagles will be back in action on October 21 when they travel to Boca Raton, Fla. to compete in the Sunshine State Conference Championship at the South County Park.
